===========> RE: Changing a field
Well, if you want to give it a shot with R&R your expression would have to: 1) Determine which terms calculation formula applies (Use the Terms Code?); 2) Use the terms description to determine what values to use in the selected formula (i.e., number of payments, days until each payment is due, ...

=========> RE: Changing a field
You might be able to do this in R&R. I^ve never tried it. What kind of database and programming language does your accounting software use? Can you modify it? Do you know how to modify it?

=======> RE: Changing a field
If you use the 2-char. code to determine which terms formula to use, you can ignore the text string (e.g., "1_;NET11") and just build the factors into the program logic. Otherwise, you just need to express the terms in a way that can be used by the program that will be calculating the date...

======> RE: Viewer error
I tried putting the INI file in the test folder, but that had no effect on the situation. It did, however, give me the impetus to push on. I tried some other things, including removing the image file (JPG) from the report definitions. Voila! The viewer worked as advertised. I tried other image forma...

=====> RE: Changing a field
I don^t mean to butt in, but it seems to me that, while R&R might be made to handle this situation (perhaps with a UDF that encapsulates the various terms), it might be done more efficiently with some sort of pre-processing code in your accounting program. Is this even possible? And regardless o...

=> RE: Best way to convert date?
You could first use STR(numval,8) convert the numeric value to a string, e.g., "20090415", then use the pieces of the string in a CTOD function to convert to a date, like this:____CTOD( SUBS(strval,5,2) + "/" + SUBS(strval,7,2) + "/" + SUBS(strval,1,4) )__

Both RRW.INI and RSW.INI say LIBRARIAN=OFF and DICTIONARY=0, but the error persists. It fails in the same way whether RRWRUN.EXE is started by the application or by double-clicking it.

registered?
What does "unregistered user" mean? This appears on the post forms under my name even when I^m logged in. I believe that I^ve registered my copy of R&R, as well. So I what must I do to become a member?

Viewer error
I recently upgraded a Vista user to the v12.5 viewer. Now, after the viewer window opens, Windows says "R&R Report Viewer, Xbase Edition has stopped working. A problem cause the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."...
