how to ID no data on single band export
The conditional printing of a header band line when no data is found works very well when the report is sent to the screen or printed. Does anybody know of a way to trap the no data found when exporting to a single band file? No data doesn^t raise an error (I wish it would), nor can you intentionall...

==> RE: can^t save display format change for date-time fields
Thanks for the reply. BTW, this only appears to be a problem in page headers, not in group or record lines.__

Viewer errors-designer runs when column is used to group only
Version 12.5____Report uses a database column for grouping only. In the designer, the report displays properly. In the viewer an error is thrown indicating the report is attempting to group on an unknown column. Workaround was to do a dummy calc field that forced the viewer to include the column in ...

can^t save display format change for date-time fields
Ver 12.5. I^m using a date time as report filter because R&R won^t let you use a date against a date-time field in the database. I also want to display the date on the report, but only as a date, not a date time. When I place the date on the report, it shows it in date-time format. I open the pr...

ocx control order of execution when setting properties in VB
I^m converting all my old arpeggio authored .rp6 libraries to 12.5 .rsw files. All my reports are called through a VB6 application using the ocx control. In converting the code to reference a report directory vs. a report library I^v encountered the following issue: If the report name property is se...

==> RE: missing images report
Resolved:____Chris, Thanks for your reply. Problem turned out to be report authored in old Arpeggio V6. When opened in V12.5 the image file was actually interpreted as being a table column. Solution was to simply delete the image object and re-insert it as a file. Don^t understand why it would displ...

missing images report
I^m converting an old VB6 app, currently running on XP, to visual studio, but before I can do that, I have to get it working to run on Win7. I^ve uninstalled RR Ver 10, and installed Ver 12.5. In report designer, a report that includes an image from a .bmp file appears as it should in print preview....

version 10+ runtime on vista
Does anyone have a workaround to get reports built in version 10+ to run on a vista box? I have an old app that does not need any modification and my user simply wishes to move to Vista and Win 7. I hate to pony up the $500 upgrade just to get a new runtime engine.____Thanks for any help/suggestions.
