Assuming that STOCK.dbf is ordered(indexed) on the part number, you can use the CLOOKUP(Indexed on characters) or NLOOKUP(indexed on a numeric) function to find it. I have a program that does this. I think PREV(PREV(Month))will work. if that does not work, I made date1= PREV(month), then date2 = PREV(date1). I know this works.

Use File-Export-Xbase. Then click the Edit key to specify the name of the file to create and the path and the selection (record, group footer, etc). Then just click export. I just tried one and the dates look correct and all looks right. The result file will have the .dbf suffix. Good luck...

If you have any type of sort, go into the sort listing and just uncheck the Ascending box. I did not spend a lot of time on it, but I think if you use braces around the dates, it will work since the braces tell the variable it is a date. __inlist(post_date,{01/01/2004},{02/29/2004})
