while i^m not 100% that there was cause and effect since this problem is so strange, i must report apparent success. unfortunately, i broke the rule of trouble shooting and did two things at once so i don^t know which (if any) actually fixed the issue.____as i posted above, i opened and printed the ...

thanks, kathleen,__i^ll try adding that setting and see if it helps. i did scrutinize the file locking threads you mention and checked on our server to see if the files having the problems are locked and they are not so i think the issue isn^t related.____one interesting additional fact that i just ...

i realize that we are using a very out-dated version of apreggio, but we^re stuck with it for at least another 6-10 months, and thus i^m hoping that someone out there might have some insight into our latest issue...____the reports reside on a Win 2k server__workstations are XP professional (some wit...

arpeggio v2 on windows XP____so, i saved a somewhat unusual combination of calculated/total fields in my report (see posting "Total field counting ^wrong^") and was able to print-preview it fine. when i tried to print the report, however, by choosing File->Print and sending it to the print...

===> RE: Total Field counting ^wrong^
The good news, which i^ll post here for anyone following this thread to find a solution to their own similar problem, is that i figured out a way to correctly calculate this total:____MaxCont:__Maximum(IsCont(), MA.CLAIMNO, DET.SEQ, running)____then____CNTCont:__Sum(MaxCont(), Healthplan, MA.CLAIMNO...

kathleen,__when i do that, if i accumulate at MA.CLAIMNO, then the record still isn^t counted unless the True is in the first record of the claim. it seems that R&R is deciding to add one or not based on the first child record encountered instead of checking all the associated records...____if a...

i didn^t test your exact scenario, but i exclude lines from printing all the time with calculated fields similar to what you^re asking. i suggest you try something like this:____iif(Q>100,.t.,.f.)____and then make the line(s) that you don^t want to print logical to print only on True.

kathleen,__when i change it to ^every composite^, then the child records that are True *do* get counted, but then my total is too high because EVERY occurance of ^A1^ or ^RMR^ gets counted and i only want to count once for each Master table regardless of how many times it^s true in the child record....
