===> RE: Long Printer names
A good workaround is to use "DEFAULT" as the printer name in the ri_wptr field. That way windows handles the printer and the user can change printers just by clicking on start/settings/printers and set the default printer.____We use the dbf control file with thousands of seats and have not...

Conrad,____I think the solution is to run the foxpro front end first and have it build a set of temporary files which have key data to relate back into your regular VFP files. In a multi-user environment, you can build the temporary files with a naming convention and then alias the master file and t...

Page Size Setting
Thanks very much for adding page size to the control file parameters when calling a runtime report. Now that this is done, any chance of getting left margin control so that when going from letter to A4, the left margin can be reset to compensate for the narrower paper.____Thanks,__Pat__

I had this same problem. The report would save and then R&R shut down. I changed to a different printer on the network and the problem went away. We were on an NT server and Win2K on the station. Sorry that I can^t remember the driver(s).____-Pat-

=====> RE: Picture Property Size Problem
This resizing problem has been in the system since the first Windows Version. It worked fine in DOS. We used to provide a blank file called LOGO.BMP and a user could just replace LOGO.BMP with their own logo and it resized great. When we switched to Windows, the resizing went away and it became a pr...

Have you tried different printer drivers? I^ve also seen reports appear to hang because of aggressive virus checker settings on the server or station. I^d also check to see what new software has been installed recently.____Pat__

Have you tried setting ri_wptr to "DEFAULT" so it will use the default printer for each station?____Pat__
