RR 11 - Blank text fields

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-12-06 AT 07:11 PM (EST) by ()]I bought a copy of Report Works V11.0.001 a few months back and have tried to create some reports from a web server SQL 2000 .net database. ____I just get blank for all my text fields. Numbers and dates preview and print OK.____Crystal 9 returns all fields including the text OK, but I just can^t get on with its interface compared to R&R^s easy methodology. ____Any suggestions?____I^ve just upgraded to V11.0.006 - still no text fields appearing

Try using the Data Direct (non-wire) SQL Server driver that ships with R&R. The problem is that your back end field are NCHAR rather than CHAR and R&R is having difficulty in seeing them with the SQL Server native driver. Yes this is a bug on our side.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Just upgraded to "Infinity", Very dissapointed I can^t seem to get text fields to appear. Does this have something to do with these memo like fields being "N-text"?

It is indeed the unicode data type that causes a problem for R&R.____Kathleen__R&R Support
