Save/Print/Preview Error in Ver 11

Post by Bruce_Gardner_(Guest) » Thu Feb 09, 2006 6:14 pm

Hi Kathleen:____We recently upgraded a client from R&R version 9 to version 11 (Build 11.1.009). This was a fresh install as they also upgraded the PC.____We completed 2 new reports under the new version and edited a dozen originally created with the older version.____We are now experiencing the following in the Designer:__-The two new reports cannot be Saved, Printed or Previewed__-We immediately see a Windows error message after clicking on the icon__-Digging into the error a little, it refers to AppVer 11.1.11.0__-The dozen older reports are fine__-As per other posts, I added LIBRARIAN=OFF and PDFDRIVER=0 to RRW.ini__-This didn^t help__-I should add that the 2 new reports each have 10 to 12 parameters.____Right now the client is rather unhappy about their "upgrade".____What can be done to correct this?____Thank you.

Just to close this thread:____Kathleen looked at the reports & determined that the Parameter^s were the cause of the problem.____Therefore, I adjusted the formulas that referred to the parameters, removed the parameters and re-created them one-by-one, saving backups as I worked forward.____In the end, this solved the problem. However there is no explanation of what went wrong. As a result, I will be skeptical/cautious about any changes that I make to these and subsequent reports.____Bruce
