Oracle8/ODBC bug

We have run into a problem with Oracle8 using either the Oracle8 client or the Oracle7 client for ODBC (as recommended in the R&R 9.0 release notes). We can access our tables and run reports in most cases, however if we perform outer joins between remote tables (across an Oracle TransparentGateway to DB2), we get an error ("Ora-01002: fetch out of sequence"). Oracle acknowledges this as an ODBC issue that didn^t exist in Oracle7, but they don^t have a quick fix. ____I^ve tried Merants ODBC driver for Oracle, Oracle^s ODBC driver, and Microsoft^s ^ODBC driver for Oracle^. Is there a third party ODBC driver for Oracle8 that works? __Does R&R work with either native Oracle drivers or OLE DB? (or will it in a future release?) ____Any help would be appreciated..__Thanks..

The only route in with R&R is ODBC and the Merant and Oracle drivers are the only ones that I know are available choice.____Kathleen__R&R Support
