R&R Printing issue w/ Citrix

Printing using the R&R Runtime via Citrix is sometimes ^slow^ to respond. It seems that every now and then the report takes 30 seconds to a minute to print through the Citrix connection.____To fix the problem the computer is re-booted and it seems to work fine after that. However, re-booting is not a solution that works very well as users do not like this very much. ____Has anyone else run into this issue or have a fix?

What version of R&R? Have you tried adding the line PDFDRIVER=0 to the DEFAULTS section of c:windowRRW.INI?____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks Kathleen - This is with version 10 of R&R. Just a quick question. The clients are not using the full install of the R&R program, just the R&R runtime application, so they do not have the RRW.ini file on the Citrix server. Will the runtime app use the ini file if we add it?

It will use the INI which you can place in the same folder as the runtime executable.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Morning Kathleen - I^ve added the PDFDRIVER=0 to the ini file and placed it in the folder with the run time, but we have not seen any improvement in the printing time. I had a though that the problem might be when trying to print multiple copes of the report, but it is the same with 1 or 20 printouts. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Try setting RI_WPTR to DEFAULT in your runtime control file and see if this helps.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Hi Kathleen - currently all our reports have RI_WPTR set to DEFAULT.

We have made a number of code changes since V10 so it might be a good time to think about upgrading to the latest Infinity release.____Kathleen__R&R Support

You can try moving the ini to the windows folder.
