Printer Driver

Hello,__I use a label printer Zebra TLP 3842 and found a problem. I installed the printer driver on a W2003 server and put the settings to paper size user defined and Rotate 180 degree = 0n. The Printer is connected to LPT1 of the server. When I now print from a Workstation, I get funny results like paper size is not the right and so on. These funny results I get on display too.__Is it possible that the problem is the name of the printer? When I start on a workstation the name of the printer is Etikettendrucker on Spair1, on the Server the name is Etikettendrucker and out of the xbase Programm the name is \Spair1Etikettendrucker. When I go to the printer properties, I have not the setting from the installation as decribed above. If the printername on each computer is different, is it possible that the result on the display is different too?__Thanks__Wolfgang__

For reports with user defined page sizes, you need to set up and save the report on the machine where the report will be run. This problem is a bug in R&R.____So even if you have two identically configured machines A and B, you would need two different reports, reportA and reportB so that they would both print correctly to the same Zebra printer and the same page size.____This one is indeed on our to be fixed list.____Kathleen__R&R Support
