Version 9.0 print problems...

Hi,____Has anyone else experienced periodical print problems with R&R Report Writer Version 9.0 and HP printer drivers?____One of our trainers found that R&R 9.0 failed to generate print previews periodically with an HP 4000N driver.____Thanks for any input,____Dave

Was there any error message? Does the problem occur only with preview or also with printing?____In general most HP drivers should work fine in Version 9.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Hi Katherine,____Apparently there is no error message. The Print and Print Preview options (both menu and buttons) simply aren_t available.____I know this would happen if there was no printer installed so am assuming R&R is not recognising the drivers^ presence.____This problem is intermittent on a single copy on a single machine. The printer is networked.

There was a problem in earlier (pre 9.0.008) versions of R&R that the print/preview buttons would be dimmed if the first action you took in a R&R session was to create a new report. If you opened a report first and then did a new one, you would not see the problem.____This should be fixed in 9.0.008 and above.____Kathleen__R&R Support
