Join between two timestamp fields

I am trying to join two tables via the timestamp field. The report saves OK and runs in Report Works OK, but when in run from application I get field (datetime) no longer in table. If I go back to report in design, I get error message that field is missing and needs to edit Joins. What is causing this? How can it be bypassed.____Report Works 11____Thanks__Dan
