R&R Hangs

Using R&R 11 for Xbase. We have one user that is having an issue. When he opens a report in design view, the reports are very slow opening. If he opens the calculated field window and presses the "FIELDS" button to view the list of available fields, the report hangs and after 5-10 minutes he has to kill R&R. This happens regardless if he has many other apps open or just R&R and happens on almost all the the reports for him. ____This is only happening on one workstation (so far) and all the users have the same desktops. Others can open the reports inquestion without any issue or delay. He did not have this issue until we upgraded these reports to R&R11 late last year.____Our end user support staff do not think it is related to the desktop since all other users have the same configuration. Any ideas on what may be causing the problem?____Thanks, __Jill

This user received an error today and sent me a screenshot. It states:____AppName: rrw.exe AppVer: 11.1.11.0 ModName: ntdll.dll__ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00010e03____I also learned from him that it doesn^t happen on all reports but only one group of reports.____Any ideas?

Try adding the line:____PDFDRIVER=0____to the DEFAULTS section of c:windows rw.ini and see if that helps.____Kathleen__R&R Support

We are still having this issue and it is becoming urgent we find a solution. The .ini change didn^t help.____Any other suggestions? When the user eventual End Tasks R&R, Windows shows a kernel32.dll error.____HELP!____

To clarify, here is the sequence to produce the error:____1) Open a report__2) Press Calculated Fields button__3) Pick a calculated field and press Edit__4) Press the Fields... button to see the list of fields. This is where it hangs.____He also is having issues with R&R hanging if he tries to add a field to a report.____Any help or suggestions where to look would be most appreciated.

Go to Options Preferences Field List and make sure that the Sort Field names box is not checked.____Kathleen__R&R Support
