Ver 8.1 - rswrun.exe Error

Post by Martha » Tue Mar 04, 2008 6:01 pm

Hello,____I^m getting the error "R&R SQL Report Viewer - Database error (no message from database)"____This happens when running rswrun.exe under Win2k Pro from the command prompt like this:____c:filepath swrun.exe /TSC:REPORTSmydbf.dbf /H /UJ005 /CSREPORTS____As you can see, the database(Oracle) login for these reports is J005.____This works as expected & all the reports in mydbf.dbf run fine as long as I run this under the old Windows login, which is J005, the same as the Oracle login I am still using today.____However, if I try to run this under my own login ID, T941, it fails and I get the above error. The command line isn^t changing, I^m still calling it with /UJ005.____If I am logged in to Win2K as T941, I can just open R&R, log in as J005 and interactively run the first report in the dbf and export it to the same folder & file specified in the dbf without a hitch.____What^s going on?____Thanks,__Martha

What happens if you remove the /U argument from the command line?____Kathleen__R&R Support

What happens if you double click execute rswrun.exe and manually select the report?____Kathleen__R&R Support
