Version 10 reports in Version 12.5

Post by Victor_(Guest) » Wed Mar 04, 2009 3:37 pm

I have recently updated to a new computer with new software. I was using Access 2003 with R & R version 10. On the new computer I am using Access 2007 with an Access 2003 database file and R & R version 12.5. Most of my reports will not load in V12.5. I think the reports that will not load have joins. Also, as I try to re-create a report in v12.5 with a join, when I create a calculated field with a joined table, even though the calculated field verifies, the report hangs and shuts down upon saving the calculated field. My installation is on my local computer and the ODBC drivers are MS Access 4.00.6305.00 and 12.00.6211.1000, and for SQL server it is 2000.85.1132.00. Is there something I can do to use my v10 RSW reports with V12.5?

Is any one else having trouble creating a calculated field involving a single table join? the calculated field verifies but then hangs when I try to save the calculated field. My operating system is Windows XP SP3.

Try surrounding the calc expression with the RR() function and see if this helps.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Enclosing all of the calculated fields in the RR() function is working on the reports I have updated so far. I even had to use the RR() function on the date(), time(), and page() functions.____Thanks for your help!
