Is MySQL compatible with RR12?

i was about to rewrite some reports at my work when i found out that I can not connect to MySQL using SQL Report writer. I have set up the Mysql 5.1 ODBC Driver and can access the data through VFP7 (Visual fox Pro 7) but when i try to access the data using RR12 i get the error:____No table names were found for this data source. is there something i need to activate before i can connect using RR12? or is there another method i can use?
