Report Print Order in Rapid Runner

Post by rickwjohnson » Fri Dec 14, 2001 12:42 pm

I have a set of about 10 reports. I want them to print in the order of the set. The set has reports wiht queries, scopes, sorts, etc. When they print, they are not in the order of thebset. At the bottom of the Rapid Runner screen, they process in the correct order, but arrive at the printer in the wrong order. (report 6 is printed second, etc.)____Anyone know a way to make sure the reports are printed it the .set order. ____Thanks in advance. Happy Holidays....____Rick Johnson__ps. If this is a duplicate post, I am sorry. I got called away and not sure if I posted.__Rick Johnson

Very strange for sure.____If they are processing in the set order, then that is how they are being submitted to the printer. Is it a network printer and is there anything that might cause a job to be advanced in the queue even though it was submitted later?____Kathleen__R&R Support

Actually, I just figured out the problem. It is not a network printer. I realized the since only one report was printing incorrectly, it must be something wrong with just that one. Turns out that the wrong one was set to print ot HP Laser Jet IIIp and the rest to HP Laserjet 4. Still not sure why the "wrong" ones would jump in front of the others but a just finsihed test printed the reports perfectly. ____Thanks for your help. Hope you have a great holiday....
