Fonts show improperly on form

On the forms I am laying out, I use the Arial font at 7 point. When I select a field to be placed on the form the font displays what appears to be 10-12 pt bold. If I save the form and return, the font appears smaller and of the correct size. Any clues about this? The font will not display the correct size when selected.____Thanks____Dan
