Local Security Issues

Post by Chris_Huff_(Guest) » Fri Mar 01, 2002 11:30 am

First of all we have R&R version 9.0 that ships with the latest version of Abra Payroll/HR. You choose to open up Report Writer from the Abra interface but unless the user has the security equivalence of an Administrator it gives you an error message "Cannot open file RRWABRA.INI." This file is in the %system root% directory. We had to move the file into another directory and give users full access to that directory and change the program path of the published app just to get standard reports to print out of Abra. This solution worked for standard reports but users still cannot open up Report Writer for custom reports because of the location of that ini file. We also receive this error message using XP Professional, not using Citrix.________

Yes, I^ve gave them many chances to help. They have been absolutely no help at all. To be honest, we are having a lot of problems with this embedded report writer. We are getting "Cannot match printer port to control file" error messages when trying to print to a local printer throught Citrix. Every single problem we have encountered through Citrix has been in someway involved with R&R. None of our users, except admins, can even open the report writer. We are not experiencing any problems printing from any of our many apps that use Citrix. We are not having problems printing in Abra unless it involves the R&R report writer (Citrix or MS/XP). I am hoping you can help us out with these issues.____
