Interaction with Graphics Server

I am in the final stages of porting an old MS-DOS FoxPro application to Visual FoxPro 6.0, and the interaction of the runtime executable when a chart follows the R&R reports is unacceptable... Either it flashes through the reports (closing the viewer windows on it^s own !) or each individual report appears, but as the first report in the control table, with no data in the report. This happens ONLY when there is a graph in line for output, and I have already applied Microsoft^s fix to stop application processing while the R&R process thread is still open... What is causing this interaction ?
