Upgrading R&R and Database

Post by Mathieu_(Guest) » Wed Jul 07, 2010 8:14 pm

Hey, i^m working with someone that is using REPORT WRITER XBase Edtion version 9.0 build 9.0.007 to bring out reports from an old DBmax database that they are using. I came along to build a website and such things for this someone to help gather information for their database, seeing has the database is outdated we had in mind to export/recreate it in a SQL database. We have 100^s of saved reports that have been written throughout the years that are very usefull. My question is, if we upgrade to your newest REPORT WRITER SQL Edition and upgrade our database to SQL will we still be able to continue using the 100^s of saved reports that are pre-created?__

If the field names and data types will stay the same, then the answer is largely yes.__You will likely need to make some minor manual changes on most reports but it is relatively easy to do.__The upgrade does come with a 30 day money back guarantee should you not be happy. Most users who have converted to the SQL version have had success.____Kathleen__R&R Support____
