RSW9 Parameter not used in filter

Set up a character Parameter in R&R9, have a filter testing a field against the Parameter, preview the report... The report comes out with the default value of the Parameter instead of the supplied value.____Yet if the Parameter is displayed on the report, the supplied value is shown. (with the default value used in the filter.)____Hope that makes sense to someone !____Morris.
