Printer Escape sequences

Post by S_Menere » Tue Jan 28, 2003 1:51 am

I am currently running R&R ver 8.1 and would like to know if it is possible to embed escape sequences into a report so that I can select different printer trays or change the layout so that the first page is portrait and the second is landscape

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-28-03 AT 07:38 AM (EST)]There is not a way to do this I am afraid. Any control codes will be stripped out by R&R and will not be sent to the printer.__The only possibility would be to send the output to a file and then edit that file to add the codes.____Kathleen__R&R Support

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Feb-03-03 AT 04:35 PM (EST)]Will any newer version of R&R allow the use of more advanced printer functions such as the varied orientations, duplex printing, stapling, etc?____If no, are there any plans to incorporate those functionalities in? I do some work with a data publisher that pays the big bucks for the high volume production copiers that can take the print jobs pre-formatted and output them without having to print and then use the copier function, but R&R doesn^t allow it. They are currently on 8.1 as well, but they are thinking of upgrading to 10 soon.____Thanks!____Carrie Crain__Crain Consulting & Design__
