RRW8.1 & partial match relation

I am running RRW8.1 using VB app and runtime. Using one report then specifying different scoping which requires different related cdx tag links. However partial matching for number of chars needs to be changed depending upon selection (i.e., partial match using 6 chars vs partial match using 4 chars). I did not see any information for ri_alias1 except for index path
ame,tag,type, how would I specify????

There is not a way to alter the partial match length at runtime I am afraid.____Kathleen__R&R Support
