Temperamental ODBC connection

Have a problem in V9 when attempting to run a report against a data source which definitely works (have tested it through control panel) but the report can^t connect to the database. Get db access Microsoft ODBC SQL Server driver error...____Report connected and ran ok this morning.____Any ideas?
