Alignment in WinXP

Post by May_(Guest) » Mon May 05, 2003 2:43 am

I can^t get a proper printing alignment in printing a 8.50" X 5.50"__form to print in dot matrix printer. Currently I am trying to solve __this problem using 6.5.08 & 8.1 (XBase) in WinXP.____If I am using the 6.5.08 to print in WinXP, the alignment will run__off after 4 pages of printing. The first line of he report will keep__print lower and lower. It does have alignment problem even__running in Win98 previously, but the inaccurate of alignment is __acceptable. It looks perfect in window preview. I have check the __printer setup, the page has set properly to 8.50"x5.50" and this__is fine when I try to print any document in Word or Excel.____Later, I had been suggested to use 8.1. Because 8.1 is better in __alignment handelling. I have setup a custom paper size for 8.50"x5.50"__in "server properties" and is able to select as a default paper size__in printer property. But I can^t manage to click on he "printer"__butto when I try to setup at Printer in Printer Setup menu. The user__is a local administrator and the printer is a local printer.____Q : how could I set a perfect paper alinment in R&R, by 6.5.08 or__8.1?____Q : does R&R only support specific printer?____Thank you____Regards__May

Is the printer the default printer?__If not try setting it as the default and see if it helps.____Kathleen__R&R Support
