RR 10 accessing Btrieve Database

Post by Josh_(Guest) » Mon Mar 22, 2004 8:51 am

We are trying to use RR 10 to access our Btrieve Database to create reports. We have an older version of RR which we have been using for years without any problems. We are in the process of upgrading everything and are running into problems. When we run certain reports, RR hangs for about a minute when trying to run the report and then throws back an error saying that SQL is not running on the server, ODBC connection failed. When we try to run another report, that report runs fine. Both reports access tables on the same server. Does anyone have any ideas or experienced anything like this before?

Is there any setting that you can try to adjust in the ODBC data source configuration?__Was your older version a V2 release?____Kathleen__R&R Support

The older version we were using was version 3 of RR Report Writer. As far as different settings in the data source configuration, no there really is none. The data source configuration basically just asks for location of the DDF and the Database.
