"Must specify addl params" message

Post by John_Smyth » Fri Jul 09, 2004 4:22 pm

When I start up Version 10 (build 10.1.001) and create an instant report, I get error message: Must specify additional parameters - with options of Cancel, Ignore, Help. Help does not fire. And I don^t see anything under help. ____Does anyone know what this is?____Thanks in anticipation of solving this.

I would re-install and then apply the 10.1.003 patch which you can download from this website.____Kathleen__R&R Support

>I would re-install and then apply the 10.1.003 patch which __>you can download from this website. __>__>Kathleen __>R&R Support ________Thanks for the suggestion, Kathleen. I uninstalled what is on my LAN and deleted the entire folder. Then re-installed version 10, applied the 10+ upgrade, and then applied the 10.1.003 patch.____Unfortunately still get the same error. Doing an instant report, specify the file I want as master. As screen comes up, get Program Error - "Must specify additional parameters", with options of Cancel, Ignore, Help. I tried just exiting R&R, and can do this - but error message stays open! Indeed, when I tried deleting (above), it would not let me delete DdFLDUP.exe as it was in use - I cleared the error message, and was able to delete this exe.____With error message up, clicking on Help gives nothing. Cancel clears message. If I select Ignore, get following message:__Data dictionary is not available to installed incorrectly. Call for support. Dictionary field update file is missing or was not created.____Any further thoughts?____Thanks.____

If you add the line:__Dictionary=0__to the Defaults section of your RRW.INI it will disable the data dictionary and avoid this problem.____Kathleen__R&R Support
