Epson Label Printer

Post by David_Madison_(Guest) » Tue Jan 04, 2005 9:20 pm

I^m trying to switch over an old Epson FX 86 dot matrix printer that has been running on a DOS machine printing labels via R&R to a Windows environment.____The problem which I am having is that the printer ejects an entire "sheet" of labels (these are tractor feed labels, not sheets) at the completion of printing the rows of labels sent to it. For instance, if two rows of four across labels are printed as requested by the program, the printer then ejects/feeds the labels down to the end of the "sheet" which seems to be as if it is an 8.5 x 11 page. The printer driver does not offer custom page sizes which seemed one approach to dealing with this.____I cannot find a control setting in R&R v 10+ to alter this behavior.____Any advice would be appreciated...

It is indeed the page size that would control this behavior. Can you find another driver that would allow you to set a page size?__And if you are using XP or 2000, the page size is set via Server Properties rather than at the printer driver level.____Kathleen__R&R Support

HI Kathleen,____Thanks for your reply; it seems I am at the mercy of the Windows printer drivers.____I^ll check out your Server setting suggestion.____David
