Building a FlexLink

Is there an actual example of building a FlexLink?. I have read the documentation, and cannot find an example, only a description. ____I am trying to relate two dBase tables, one indexed on DATE (defined as a date), the other with no index, but containing a field DATE (defined as a date).I get no records found. I made both DATE fields to be Characters, but to no avail. ____Also, if I programatically have an index on the second file, and use the index link, not Flexlink, all works fine, but this is not really an option for production. ____Thanks in advance.__

Try the link using DTOC(datefield,1) for the linking calc and the flexlink expression.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks, worked like a charm. But I ask again, is there a white paper or Tech notes on building FlexLinks. It seems that calculated fields are almost always required and not all are obvious.__Rick Johnson__Rick Johnson
