print to file problem

Post by tloftus » Tue Feb 15, 2005 12:54 pm

We just upgraded R&R to the latest version and also moved to a new machine that is using XP. The old machine was 98. Here is what we do...__We have created a report then select print. Then we select the print to file box. It then asks us to specify where we want to send the file. After the file is sent to the folder I choose the file is uploaded to our IBM AS400 system. Here is the problem...__When I print to file RR sends the file to the folder but is not in the same format as it was in win98. IT has added spacing in some places and taken spacing away from other parts. It is also putting characters in the report to indicate page breaks. I assume these changes are due to XP because the same software and process worked fine in 98. Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?__Thanks!__Tim__

You need use to use a font with a point size of 12 and a horizontal ruler setting of 10 to have the preview match the text output. You may need to adjust things on the report layout so that it looks like you want the text file to look.__ __Kathleen__R&R Support
