Backing up

Post by MP » Thu Apr 07, 2005 5:35 am

On our daily backups the following files are not being backed up:__ __ dictfld.CDX - object is busy__ dictfld.DBF - object is busy__ dictfld.FPT - object is busy__ FOXUSER.DBF - object is busy__ FOXUSER.FPT - object is busy__ __The location of these files is D:FF2000RRWRL, which is the report writer directory.__ __Can someone please tell me if its necessary to back these files up, or if we could simply ignore them, if they are not important?__

You can disable the use of these files in R&R by adding the lines:__Dictionary=0__Librarian=OFF____to the Defaults section of the windowsRRW.INI file.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Disabling them will turn off logging to the R&R librarian and data dictionary. If you are not using these features, then it will cause no impact to how you use R&R.____Kathleen__R&R Support
