HTML export problem

Post by Mike_N_(Guest) » Fri May 27, 2005 12:25 pm

The "Retain left and right angle brackets when exporting this field" check box for text file memo fields doesn^t appear to work. When I export the report to html, R&R is dropping the opening "<" for each html tag. It seems to work elsewhere, just not on text file fields... thanks!____Mike N.

I am seeing something slightly different. What HTML tags are you using in the memo? I want to try to replicate your exact scenario.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Well, I just changed the text file (the source for the memo field) and now something different is happening (arghh!) but its still not right. I changed the file to:____<a href="http://www.google.com"><img src="http://www.google.com/intl/en/images/logo.gif" width="173" height="45" alt="Google" border="0"></a>____Its all one line in the text file. That should be a squished version of the Google logo, and when you click it it should take you to Google^s site.____Instead, I get this:____<img src="http://www.goo____...in Internet Explorer. You can, however, click it. :) I have unchecked word wrap in the properties of the text memo field.

I think I figured it out: the width of the field was burning me... :) I set it to 254 and that line works now. That^s still a major problem -- why only 254 characters?? Is there a way to include more than one text file? I could work around the 254 character line that way... thanks

You only get one text file but that file can have individual defined fields in it that can be separately placed on the report.____254 chars is indeed the limit.____Kathleen__R&R Support
