Transfering calculated fields?

Post by Steve_Pierson_(Guest) » Thu Jul 28, 2005 1:52 pm

I am customizing 10-12 invoice formats for our accounting software. I created 5 calculated fields which I would like to use in all of the invoices.____The problem I have is that the calculated field I created for one invoice is not available in the other reports. They seem to have the same master database and index.____Any suggestions?____Steve

One way to do this is to have two instances of the report designer open, one with the source report and one with the destination. You can then edit the calc in the source report, copy the expression to the clipboard and then paste it to the destination report.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,____Thanks for the reply. FYI, I was able to store two of my calculated fields in the dictionary. The others I copied and pasted to a Word .doc. Then opened the new report and copied and pasted the descriptions from Word to RR.____Steve__
