Long character fields

I am having a problem displaying a 480 character field from a oracle database on a report. Is there a limitation on the lenght that can be displayed. We were using Arpeggio 2.0 and were not having a problem until we recreated our database on a different box. The data looks fine in the database, but when I try to run a report it comes out with unrecognizable characters. We have sense upgraded to R&R 8.1 and are still experiencing the problem.

It is a bug that is mentioned in the readme file for Version 9.____"If you are running from an Oracle8 client machine using the SQORA32.DLL ODBC driver, data from VARCHAR2 fields may be incorrectly returned. Workaround is to use the earlier Oracle7 SQO32_73.DLL driver."____Kathleen__R&R Support
