Driver for Advantage Db Server

We have a growing number of customers using the Advantage Database Server (ADS) on DBFCDX databases.____One of the key beneifts is that you can completely remove users^ rights to the folder(s) containing the database files. This prevents any direct access to the data files, thus avoiding accidental data changes or inappropriate use. Security can be managed down to group/user level from within ADS.____We have tried using R&R Ver 8.1 SQL Edition but it does not seem to support the ADS ODBC driver.____Are there any plans to release an R&R driver for ADS, and if so, is there a timescale?____Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Don^t waste your time.____It^s been 3-4 years I^ve been waiting for ADS support with R&R. I had cases where users would save data with our Delphi App and then print contract, guess what, since R&R goes directly to dbf and not thru ADS engine, data on report was not correct. Users had to wait 30-60 seconds before printing.____What a waste!____I guess the ADS community and R&R is to small.____We are migrating reports to (not my favorite) Crystal Reports. It seems to work.____I^m also looking into Report Builder Pro.____Good luck!__Sergio
