I am using RRv10 with WinXP. I have been getting various error messages since I upgraded.__ One such message occurs when I modify an existing report and then "Save As" to a different report with a resulting error of "Failed to Save Document." This in turn locks up both the old report and the new. The new report however does not include any data. I have to re-boot my machine everytime. I have to go through this process (sometimes more than once) about 70% of the time I try to "Save As".__ A second error message I get is when I close R&R completely. I get a delayed message that says "R&R Report Designer, Xbase Edition has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." This again happens about 70% of the time I close R&R.__ What is going on?

For the crash on exit, try renaming the file CDINTF.DLL that is in the R&R directory.____Is your XP machine on a network?____Kathleen__R&R Support

We have applied the patch are still get an enormous amount of file locking problems with XP. Win 98 did not have any of these problems. We have even patched our XP and Win 2000 server for general file locking issues, yet R&R still locks the files.____The file lock is not release until the PC is logged off or restarted.____We now have ALL XP PCs. We have got to find an answer soon. Please reply at the soonest.____Thanks!!!__Carrie Crain__Crain Consulting & Design
