Error printing

Post by Bruce_Carroll_(Guest) » Tue Jun 24, 2003 5:53 pm

Hi,____I have been using R&R V10 (12) for several months with no major errors. However today I am unable to print any reports (created previously) or even new reports. I get an error "Error retrieving printer information" when I try to print or even preview. I am running on W2k SR3 and have no other apps with printing problems. Tried the obvious of re-booting and power on/off. I have even reloaded R&R but still no change.____Any help would be appreciated.____Regards____Bruce__

Try deleting or renaming the file CDINTF.DLL that is in the R&R program directory. You might also try deleting and re-installing the printer and making sure it is set as the default.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thank you - the problem related to a printer that was used the last time I edited a set of clients reports. This printer was on a Novell server and although I had changed back the default printer to the one I use in the office the reports would not run. Even new reports would not run - is this a bit of a bug?____More information available if you wish.____Best regards____Bruce__

The current printer does indeed get saved with a report but any new report would use the current default printer.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I would also expect new reports to use the current default printer however in my situation it did not. It was not until the network printer (that was not available back in the office) was deleted did R&R use the default printer.____Best regards____Bruce__
