Export Data to DBF file

We are using Report Writer Version 10.0. I have created a data export that I need to import into Access. I can export it to a text file. However, then I need to write an Import Specification in Access to import the data. ____With other applications I have written, when given the option, I prefer to export to a database (.dbf) file because those import into Access without need for any Import Specification. Under RR, the other option I see to export to a .dbf file is called "Result Set". The problem is, when I export to this option, it doesn^t give me what I have put on the report. Rather it seems to give me a lot more, like every single calculated field I am using (even though I have not placed them in the report).____Is there a way to do what I want?____BTW, I also tried the export to Worksheet function, but that does some funky things I don^t like, like convert blank dates to 1/1/1900.

Use File-Export-Xbase. Then click the Edit key to specify the name of the file to create and the path and the selection (record, group footer, etc). Then just click export. I just tried one and the dates look correct and all looks right. The result file will have the .dbf suffix. Good luck...

Thanks Rick. I never knew what the Xbase option was for.____That part works now. The only problem I am having now is on the Microsoft Access side. I am unable to get it to import into an existing table. It wants to create new table every time. ____I^ll have to check with some of my Access experts on that.
