Export to file

Post by Tresha_(Guest) » Sun Apr 27, 2003 1:42 pm

I have RR SQL version 9 and version 10. ____In the old RR 5.1 Dbase version you could have a report written in "compressed" font format. When you output that to the ASCII file output it outputs the file in the format you had it laid out in the report. For example if my report had title lines, page headers, groups headers, group footers and body lines; it would create an ASCII file that exactly matched the "look" of the printed page. It preserved the spacing between the columns.____In the new RR SQL 9 and 10 version, when you have a report in Courier font greater than 12 point you get an ASCII output that is "Smashed" together. How do I get an ASCII output to be exactly like the printed page? OR an alternative is how do I export to Excel more than one line at a time. I Can see where I can export a body line of data or a group footer line. How do I export all lines in the report at the same time to the same Excel file?____Any help is greatly appreciated.____

You need to use a fixed pitch font and set your horizontal ruler to match the horiztonal characters per inch and set the width of your fields in characters. I just emailed a sample report that uses the RRCUST.DBF and the output file that I created from that report.____Kathleen__R&R Support
