Exporting to ASCII

Post by Kathy_(Guest) » Fri Mar 12, 2004 9:17 pm

I have created a report in v.10 that when run to screen, printer, PDF or RTF output using the runtime version provides a fixed column repport.____When I try sending the output to and ASCII file, a number of the columns bunch together, and are no longer fixed. I have looked at all the possible field formatting options, and cannot determine what is causing the problem. Actually physically hardcoding the spaces between the fields works to an extent, but there are both character and numeric values which are variable in length.____All fields are set to print at assigned location.____Any ideas?____Thanks,____Kathy

Sorry about the delay in getting back. ____We are actually printing/exporting the report using a runtime version and the option is ASCII text, but we have the same problem doing the export from within R&R using both the Text and the Text Data option.____Kathy
