Kathleen,____Here in my office everything is working ok about generating pdf files.__I have Windows98 and XP and RR works fine with pdf with both OS.__But I am having a problem in a customer, wich uses Windows98. I put the dll^s in the same directory of rrwrun.exe. The PDF driver is correctly installed when the rrwrun is called (so the user have the rights to install a printer), but the pdf file is generated with a strange large size (ex 508Kb) when the correct is about 5Kb. When I try to open it with Acrobat I receive a message that the file is not in the right format.__I have downloaded from livewarepub website the files required to export to pdf, and as I said before, saved them in the same directory as rrwrun is.__Do you have any idea why is this happening?____Thank you.____Best regards,__

Marcus,__I have had this result on NT. It occurs for me, when the report is sent to the default printer, HP LaserJet 4, (with the print to file checked and a valid file name) and not the PDF printer. In NT, the default printer is always brought in the printer dialog box, even if the file was saved with the PDF Printer. ____The real problem is that if you go back into designer, you have to always go into print to reset the PDF or the report is saved with the default printer. This greatly affects RapidRunner.____Hope this helps. ____ __Rick Johnson

This has been a long running problem. It may be fixed with the latest upgrade for Version 10. You did not say what version you were using! I have a program that I distribute with the runtime files in it. If I put it on my c:drive, I get the same type of error. If I put it on my D:Drive, I do not get the error. I have no idea why, but I assume that there is some kind of conflict on the c:drive.____To be fair, I have not yet tried the upgrade for version 10. I hope that this fixes the problem____
