Dear Friends,____ Enviro: Clipper 5.2e, R&R Version 6.0a, Blinker Linker____ Printer: HP Laser Jets and DeskJets____Question: What is the code to send to the printer (before starting up the RRUN standalone viewer) to set the HP printer to ^Legal Size^ paper ?____ I^ve been using the following function successfully for several years, and *now* it doesn^t work on my client^s machine:____ PRINTSEND(CHR(27)+^&l3A^) (^l^ is an ^ELL^)____and to revert to ^Normal^____ PRINTSEND(CHR(27)+^&l2A^) (^l^ is an ^ELL^)____ Suddenly, these don^t work anymore !____Any ideas please ??____TIA,____-Mel Smith__

Is it a newer HP printer? There is a chance that they have stopped supporting the use of escape codes to talk to the printer.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,____ No, their HP LaserJet printer has been the same for about a year (with frequent use in ^Legal Mode^)____ BTW, I have always defined (in the report itself under Control Printer) the report to use ^Bin 1^ instead of ^Continuous^. This picks (at least it *used to*) the proper tray that holds the legal size paper.____ Is there any *other* set of codes that would give the the same ^legal size^ results as the ones I noted in my original post ??____TIA,____-Mel Smith
