HTML Export using MAPI

We^re on Version 11 build 11.1.008____I^m trying to develop a way to email R&R queried clients, that have an email address in our Xbase, an HTML file including graphics (you know...SPAM). Using the information in the help files I have been successful in exporting an HTML file with a graphic in a subdirectory which is viewable in the browser but when I mail this file to the selected client in the export - the HTML file is attached to the mail message but the graphic objects don^t get sent and inserted into the html file.:( ____I^m hoping I^m doing something wrong and that this isn^t a limitation of the program - afterall R&R is addressing the HTML format by creating the graphic subdirectory - but why can^t I forward the whole thing graphics and all to a mail recipient?
