Joins with R&R v12

I am unable to join multiple tables in version 12. I have selected the customer table as my master and want to add two related tables. When I add the first one,(demand) it allows me to do a left outer join but when I try to add the second table,(demand transactions) the option is grayed out: I also tried to join the demand table to the demand transactions and the option is also grayed out. ____This works fine in version 10 of R&R. How do I do this in v12?____
