Legal Paper mixup ?? using R&R8.1
When I send my app to my user and he runs it, he gets my report going to his ^Legal Tray^ on his HP 6p printer. He says: "Why did you send this report to the legal paper tray ?? Always before in R&R for DOS the reports printed properly (on 8-1/2x11 paper) to the proper tray ?" I said: "I didn^t send it to your legal tray !". He says: "Well your ^old^ reports always printed properly. Now with this Windows R&R, they go to my legal tray !"____ Those were his comments and my replies.____ What I *had* been doing was setting RI_WPTR to "Default" and sending my app package to him. Now, I^ve changed my RI_PRINTER to "?" and RI_WPTR to "?", and every time he runs a report he has to choose his printer. Now *that* annoys him !! Arrrgggg !!____ I had him go into Printer properties, and he (&I) get a bit confused about his trays and paper source, etc, etc.____ If I went back to simply putting "Default" in RI_WPTR, what would *he* have to do to get a simple report quickly printing out on his letter tray ?? (Also, some of his other people with (unknown) printers will also get this app.)______ BTW, I develop my simple reports on my HP Deskjet 697C using only normal stuff (underlining, bolding, etc) but changing some fonts sizes in Arial.____ I really want to make report printing for my user to be as simple and as fast as in R&R DOS 6.0a____Thanks,____-Mel Smith__

You could use the method of installing the HP6 driver on your machine, selecting the desired tray in File Page Setup and then saving the report and sending it to the user.______Kathleen__R&R Support
