Letter size paper format

I am having a problem with printing landscape on "Letter" size paper(8.5x11) with inkjet printers. My report text covers 10.5" wide when printed to the display and to a laser printer. If I print the same report to an inkjet(any brand, mine is HP G85) the report printed is only 10.25" wide and it cuts off 1/4" of report information, even though there is room on paper. I have my margins left and right set at 0.2. The strange thing is when I set the paper size to Legal 8.5x14. The report prints OK, just shows extra white space on display. Is there a way to make the saved size match the output for inkjet printers? (Printing 8.5x14 to pdf doesn^t print the page properly, much to small.) Has/Can this be corrected in Report Works. I am using Report Works 11.0.001____Thanks__Dan____

Can you try a different printer driver and see if that helps? R&R takes its margin settings based on the printer driver that is used.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks for your comments. Can you or someone else try to create a form that is 10.5 inches wide and print on a inkjet printer and prove that it will indeed print 10.5 inches wide. I have tried several print drivers and they all produce the same results. My customers have had similar results with this report of different brands.(Only 10.25" prints) There seems to be something else going on here.____Thanks.__I can send you a pdf of the output. The pdf will automatically reduce the print to 94% to get it all into the margins. If you print with no reduction it prints only 10.25 inches.

I just did a test to my HP OfficeJet 80. With left/right margins set to .2, my first character on the line prints at .2 from left edge of paper and my last character prints at 10.5.____My horizontal ruler pitch is 20 and I have an 8 point Arial font.______Kathleen__R&R Support
