8.1 prints 1st pg. only - Win XP

Hi:____I have a client with both Win NT and Win XP workstations. With the 8.1 runtime files, all reports will only print the first page on the XP workstations. The reports work fine on the NT workstations. Has anybody encountered this?____Upgrading to R&R 9 is not out of the question. However, I seem to recall that version 9 does not support .RP5 libraries. We rely heavily on .RP5^s because we have hundreds of reports and this way we can bunch them into a few files instead of having to distribute and maintain hundreds.____Any insights are appreciated.____Michael

Version 9 will read reports that are in RP5 report libraries.__Make sure that the reports in question have not been saved with a page range of only page 1 through page 1.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I worked with Michael on this problem and know some details.__They were able to print the reports on other OS platforms so__we knew it wasn^t something saved with the report such as the__printer default being set to print 1 page when saving a report__(which we^ve encountered before). All other software printing appeared to print normally....emails, word, etc.____The solution came when we had them try logging in as administrator on the XP computer. It resolved the problem. They then made the user^s login to have administrator rights on the computer. It is unknown to us what part of R&R wouldn^t work with more limited rights (.dll^s ?)__and it is still amazing that R&R would partway work and print just 1 page. They now print all pages.____It is valuable to know we can port our .rp5^s to Version 9 and this__discussion board has been very valuable to us.____Thank you, Peggyk____
