Memory Leak?

I created a report in V10 (latest) using ME and when I zoom in and out of the report the font gets larger and larger until the program shuts down. What^s up with that, version 10.0.012. This happens with both design and runtime.____thanks

That is certainly symptomatic of a memory leak. Has it only started with 10.0.012? Is it with any report?______Kathleen__R&R Support

Yes this just started with update. I am using Arial font. When zoomed out to maximum, the font is very large and bold. When zoom in one, font appears normal, when zoom out in max the font changes again to a smaller size.____Dan

Is it all reports? What O/S and what printer are you using?____Kathleen__R&R Support

We^re having the exact same issue related to print previews. Ultimately, we have to reboot our PCs or our assigned fonts disappear in the report (setting everything to a system font). We^re running version 10.0 build 10.0.012. The patch we installed to get to this build stopped the illegal operations and general protection faults we were getting before, but there are still clearly memory leak issues with version 10 of R&R. Is another patch anticipated? We have a group of very frusted end users at this point. Our PCs are currently running Windows 98 and our file server is Novell Netware version 4.2.

I am running ME on local PC. Printer is HP5000 as default. Every report is showing same. Open report, run preview, fonts revert to system fonts, zoom out get very large and bold, zoom in get small. All revert to system fonts. If using runtime, the system crashes out of program that is running runtime.____I also get "check system memory" when trying to run report again from design and then it crashes out of program. All buttons are blank with no icons once memory error occurs.____Dan__864-244-6123

We do have a 10.0.013 build as the current work in process if you want to see if that is any better. Send me an email and I can send it out to you.____Kathleen__R&R Support__kfleming@livewarepub.com

I loaded your test files and the problem is indeed present in the latest build but only if you are running ME or 98. I could not reproduce in any other O/S. Development is currently trying to debug this one.______Kathleen__R&R Support

The new rrpd.dll file seemed to fix the memory leak for v10. I can now zoom in/out without changing the font and crashing the software. Thanks for the quick fix. We all appreciate your work!____Dan
