Missing Data

We have an old R&R Report. R&R runtime is dated 1997. We have not changed anything and the reports have been working fine until recently.____What we have all of a sudden is one report that loses data for only one field on the report. When you look for the data, it is in the table. We have not changed any reports since August 1, 2002. Why would data all of a sudden not appear, even though it is in the table?____Cecil Champenois__

Try a new report against that data file and see if it shows up.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I cannot write another reprot since we do not own R&R. We may get rid of R&R and just write the reports in VFP. A previous contractor chose to use R&R but the client was never told to purchase the product. Dead end, huh? I was wondering if anyone had ever run into this problem before?

Without a way to look at the insides of the report or experiment with another report, there is not much else that I can think of that would diagnose/fix the problem.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Perhaps Im getting too philosophical in my old age-something must have changed. You dont indicate what sort of data has disappeared but perhaps its based on some sort of conditional format.____e.g. The date changes every day so you could try setting the system date back to a date when u know the report worked.____More likely is that something else has actually changed.____Without wishing to become a salesperson for RR you may find it quicker and cheaper to purcahe a copy of r&r than to sit down and rewrite all the reports in VFP, particularly if you are happy with the system bar this glitch.____Colin
